Grrrrrrrr - Davros! Braveheart was not a documentary you know!

Mel Gibson was born in the US. Olivia Newton John was born in England.

Your record on predicting results in Rugby Test matches leaves a lot to be desired. You are batting 0 for 1 at the moment

So, just where in my post did I imply that Braveheart was a documentary??? I have visited the Wallace Monument in Sterling (and climbed all those wretched stairs), and know how badly the story was mangled for dramatic effect. I don't know where you're drawing this conclusion from - just because I mentioned Eddie the Whinger (PS - that guess wasn't right was it? I am assuming there was a real King Edward at that time and that that was the one). I see you have already been awarded the prize pastry for most correct answers again .

And the Rugby - well we will see won't we .

Hi Jerome,

I think it was all the Glasgow questions that did me in , but I love visiting back in "the old country". Now if the quiz was about Scottish Links Golf Courses, and the pubs that are closest to them I might stand a real chance.

Though sorely tempted to cheat, I will not. I will, however, demonstrate publicly my pathetic knowledge of Scotland and all thing Scottish. So, will apologies to my Scottish friends, let me proceed.

1/What famous world renouned scottish poet was born in 1759? Robert Burns?

2/Whats the name of the well known structure erected in Glasgow that looks like the an armadillo? No clue.

3/What has been placed on top of a statue in Glasgow which is now a tourist attraction?
See above.

4/What is traditionally eaten in Scotland on the 25th January? Hagis?

5/Who played William Wallace in the film Braveheart? Mel Gibson (I know I got that one right)

6/Which famous Scottish king led Scotland to freedom?
James? (OK I know there were several--thought I might get lucky)

7/If you lived in Glasgow what is a 44D?
Where I come from it is a bra size

8/Which Scottish hooker recently was dropped from the British Lions squad despite playing 6 mins against the Wallabies in the first test?
Does hooker mean the same thing in Scotland that it does in the States?

9/Where in Scotland did Golf originate from? St. Andrews?

10/Where in Scotland do the smallest variety of pony come from? Shetland

11/Which famous english king said "the problem with Scotland is that it is full
of Scots!"? All of them?

12/Which Scottish Clan were the only army in Europe to defeat the Romans? No clue

13/Which Scottish mountain is the highest in Britain? See above

14/What do you call a mountain in Scotland that is over 300 feet high? A high mountain?

15/Name the town in Scotland that is associated with breathing? All of them I hope

Sorry, guys!
