can someone give me some help in order to create a good party?
i have played the game and i realised that you dont need ONLY ONE good fighter (tank as others say) or TWO. I would like a party with two good fighters (I DONT MEAN THE CLASS just that they will fight most the time with melee weapons) and an extra one MONSTERKILLER, something like that lets say: (I mean a real 'butcher' like a barbarian or something with full strenght at the first creation). i would like also too have some mages (likely two of them and wizards) and i have two extra slots left. Now, with that extra slots i dont know what to add... maybe a rogue will be good but like a druid or cleric.... maybe i can make a cleric in one of my fighters slots but i really wanted some real monsters killers....

i would also like to mention that i really hate multiclassing
it isnt that bad but i like my heroes to focus on one thing. maybe i will make an exeption in order to gain at least 4 fighter levels on some of my characters(probably the tanks)

anyway if you are willing to help i would be grateful...
this is my first post here plz wish me luck

So, you're looking for two tanks with one offensively oriented, two offense casters, and two extras. You don't like multiclassing. Gotcha.

Let me say in advance that MC'd guys are much better than single class characters. However, you can easily get by with single classed guys.

Also, I'll add that the best "monsterkiller" in the game is the wizard. Tanks are mostly used to defend them.

Here's a possible party:

1. Aasimar fighter4/paladin of helm
This guy can tank in full plate, can heal a bit, and can be a "monterkiller" for your purposes. Use a longsword and shield.

2. Deep gnome monk
The midget CANNOT be touched. I like to mess around with adding in mage and cleric levels on this guy, but as a single class monk suits your purposes. This fellow can sit all day in a horde of baddies taking no damage at all. Use him as a decoy, mage killer, scout, and target for fireballs. Use fists or small blades.

3. Aasimar cleric of Lathander
This guy is a backup melee character, but his main purpose is healing and offensive casting. Lathander gets you nice nukes like firestorm to supplement your defensive cleric spells. Paladin or fighter levels are fun to add in. Use a greataxe.

4. Drow rogue1-2/mage
With maxed DEX and INT, the low amount of rogue levels is all you need to bypass all of the traps/locks in the game. I usually add in paladin and ranger levels. This character's main duty is offensive casting and having a spell for every situation: you can have a vast amount of spells, so use your versatility to your advantage. Don't be afraid to have a huge spell list. In an emergency, buff yourself with Tenser's Transformation, stoneskin, etc. and jump into the melee. Use a dagger, or with ranger levels dual wield daggers.

5. Drow Sorcerer
For once, I'd go single class. You want to focus this character on offensive mass destruction spells such as fireball, acid storm, meteor swarm, horrid wilting, etc. Don't take low use utility spells with this guy, teach those to your mage. Use a staff.

As your sixth slot, you have some choice here. A bard would be a nice supplement to your melee characters. Another sorcerer would add in more offensive capability (I always use two sorcerers and one mage). Finally, you may decide to remove the rogue levels from your mage and make a single class rogue here, with fighter levels added later.

Good luck!

Remember, a Cleric of Tempus makes a great spellcaster AND tank! Dwarves rule!

ImperiumRomanum, here's my take.

Definitely go with a Sorc as your primary arcane spellcaster/nuker. Sorcerors are awesome nukers when you know what spells you like to use.

As far as tanks...

I love to have a paladin in my parties. Pallies are fairly magic resistant, due to their rather high Save rolls and their Divine Grace save bonuses. And they make very, very solid front line tanks. You can go for the Ftr 4 with a pally or not. A pure pally isn't really hurt all that much by going "pure class".

A barb X/ftr 4 is a great monsterkiller and tanking teammate for a pally. He'll probably end up with more kills than the pally. (This has always seemed to be the case for me, at least.)

Most any cleric type will work out. Tempus cleric are great for backup melee tanks. Loremasters of Oghma are very nice with their high level domain spells. And you can never go wrong with Lathander.

Don't feel that you cannot play a pureclass rogue. it may not be the powergamer's choice, but a pure rogue can be surprisingly potent in melee. Not as a meatwall tank, but as a sneak attacking specialist who runs around the battlefield looking for chances to jab enemies in their backs. That said, if you don't like to micromanage your battles, you may not want to deal with a pure rogue. Rogues need to stab and run, not hang in the melee wall with the tanks swinging at whatever's in front of them for the entire battle.

My favorite parties have always been a couple of pure melee tanks, a rogue of some flavor (pure class or multiclassed), a sorc, a cleric, and some sort of utility character.

The "utility" character tends to be one that best fits your own individual playing style. I tend to be very much into stealthy tactics and will often take a ranger that I've optimized for stealth and archery, with high DEX and medium STR and CON. I like to team up my rogue with my ranger for stealthy hit & run tactics.

OTOH, if you're not all that stealthy, maybe a druid or a wizard might make for a more magical backup for your sorc. A wizard would give you an arcane mage who could fill in the holes in your sorc's spellbook and cast the nice spells that aren't really suited to a "nuker" sorc. OTOH, a druid would provide a 2nd healer, another decent backup warrior, and additional spellcasting.

Or you could always go for a bard. I'm not a great fan of bards and don't realy know how to get the most out of them. But there are some people who love'em.

After seeing your party, I would like to place here my opinion:
Diviner loses too many spells IMHO. If you go for a specialist wizard, choose Necro, they lose the least spells of all (they are restricted in divination and illusionism, which are the schools with less spells in the game). Otherwise, just go with a vanilla wizard for added versatility.
Also, no one mentioned that Stormlord of Talos is in pair with Morninglord of Lathander in priesty-goodness, very good offensive spells and good melee asset (destructive blow). Dreadmasters of Bane rock, too.
Teh meatwall for excellence is a dwarven barbarian with maxed CON, he can stand there and receive any blow and stand still.
If you want maxed damage, go for a barbarian (or fighter) half-orc with maxed STR and either a greataxe or a greatsword.
Guys, correct me if I'm wrong, please.

Code Red on losing the Illusion spells. Invis 10' radius is a VERY powerful spell that allows you to get the drop on a lot of encounters. (Which requires a bit of metagaming or paranoia. Which is fine by me )

The illusion spell that I'd hate losing would be mirror image. I can live without invisibility sphere, but a mage feels practically naked (defensively speaking) without mirror image.
