I stated the possibility earlier, but now it's more or less definite: I will be coming to Boston this fall, participating in the Head of the River Charles. So anyone willing enough to see high quality rowing, come take a look. I'll be more than willing to spend some of my spare time with the Ironworkers present in Boston. If I'm not mistaken we'll be there for 10 days or so, so I reckon there's more than enough time to arrange a meeting.

W0000t!! Right now I'm freakin' happy about making it into the final eight. The competition was harsh, but in the end they chose me over some heavyweight rower, making me the only lightweight in the entire crew. FYI: we're starting in the Championship Eights, the highest field out there in the regatta with crews such as the Dutch national eight (second last year) and Cambridge and Oxford Boat Race crews participating as well. Being a lightweight in this crew certainly says something....!

Happy happy joy joy!

(sorry for being so overly ecstatic, but I just can't help it )

Give me a rowing regatta in NYC and I'll be there. And no, I won't take lame Olympic gags for an answer. It's hard enough already that I'll have to go to London instead somewhere far away...
