The one that your character can use best. [/Wiseass] Seriously though, it holds true. Carsomyr might as well be called the The Useless Avenger, in the hands of Korgan. Anomen will be left scratching his head if you pass him the Celestial Fury. All the weapons are good, and have their purposes. |

Yes, the Celestial Fury is very nice, indeed. As is the Carsomyr. Those are my two favourites too, next to the ToB-sword Gram the Sword of Grief.

I say that if your character is Evil and can use longswords, the top notch weapon to get is the Blackrazor (+3 hit and damage, regeneration of 1hp/5 seconds, immune to charm and fear, with every hit has a 15% chance of draining 4 levels, healing the wielder by 20 hit points, and hasting him for 20 seconds as well as increasing strength by 3 points for 20 seconds). A truly malevolent yet potent blade indeed

i personally like both the Crom Faeyr and the Dwarven Thrower. Cutthroat, Blade of Roses, Belm, Blade of Searing, Frostreaver, Mauler's Arm, Sling of Seeking, Gesen Bow, Heartseeker, Blackblood, Lilarcor, etc. are all very good for their respective proficiencies. You really can do whatever you want with weapons, since all proficiencies have really good weapons, (except scimitars... but wait till ToB) so it's a personal choice. My Dwarven Barbarian did just fine with the Dwarven Thrower, Frostreaver, and Stonefire Axe all through SoA, until the Crom Faeyr. I made a point of never using any weapon that wasn't either an axe or a hammer through the ENTIRE game. (except MoD+2 for undead)
Try whatever you like, though. Crom Faeyr, (SoA) Carsomyr +6, (ToB) Axe of the Unyielding +5, (ToB) and the Celestial Fury +5 (mod) are probably a good 'ole tie for first, each one good for its own situation. EDIT: The fighter IS a kensai, is named Koshi, and also has a Rogue Stone with the Restored Rune patch. He does wear a helmet, proof once again that the game cheats quite often. (enemies shapeshifting and healing, anyone? Jon Irenicus' infinite Magic Missile? Eric Vanstrassen not strong enough to wear his own armor?)
