Minor skirmishes...? Is that what you'd call the hour long battle we fought vs. seph that probably broke a Ironworks record in the speed of postings.
I'm just unappreciated in my own time... and for some reason I have a strange desire to cut off my own ear. BTW if your interested Name: Ace Flashheart (Lord Flash) Height: Just under 7" with his armour on. Class: Anti-Paladin Weapons: Doomsword, gauntlet claws. Armour: Big black full plate with lots of spiky bits. Likes: Kittens, evil, Pecan pie. |

Ha, ha, ha. And at the center of that injury, wil be me. All that boundless energy will be mine. By merging with the energy of the Planet, I will be come a new life form, a new existence. Melding with the Planet, I will cease to exist as I am now. Only to be reborn as a 'God' to rule over every living soul. What are you saying? Are you trying to tell me you have feelings now? OK, if you want it, here's Desuma & Drongo. Since the KFA threads were started in the BG2:SoA forum, I'll give their stats in (semi-)BG2 terms.
Name: Desuma Malevois. Race: (almost) human. Class: Swashbuckler dualled to high level mage. Description: Desuma stands 5'6" and weighs 150#. Her eyes are green. She has been described as having a "classically handsome face. Except for the unnatural [sorry, this part is censored for later plot developments Weapons: When forced into hand-to-hand combat Desuma is an accomplished knife fighter, preferring a dual-wielding technique as she goes for the throat and pricks overly inflated egos. She has also been known to use a staff on occasion. Alignment: True Neutral (no, really!) Spells: Yes. Innate abilities and characteristics: I'll plead the fifth on this one also, once again using the "later plot developments" excuse. From my posts she has displayed the ability to manufacture clones or whatever you want to call them, as well as various other odd but effective devices. Name: Drongo. Race: Feral halfling. Class: Assassin. Description: Dirty and unkempt, with teeth filed to sharp points. Wears leather armor covered by a greasy apron. Weapons: Prefers short sword and paring knife. Also pretty good with his teeth. Alignment: Neutral evil. |

Kaz and DragonMage, FWIW let me tell you a little of my intended "master plan" during the KFA/ALSB battle. As I don't have the heart right now to read through the gazillion threads that were posted in my absence, I honestly don't know if this will contradict anything that has gone before, so use it or discard it as you will.
The "mysterious cloaked warriors" that were helping to guard the KFA were all clones/dopplegangers/simulacrums/whatever of our favorite hamster lovin' ranger Minsc. Desuma realized that the restaurant would probably not survive the onslaught of such a large force, so her plan mainly involved a way for herself and her friends to escape when defeat seemed inevitable. At this point in time (after giving everyone their chance to shine, of course), one of her patented mini-Aerie clones would fly out from underneath the dessert cart and impale itself on one of the Avariels' swords. This would trigger a teleportation spell that would spirit all KFA members to safety, leaving behind our foes. Well, ... S P O I L E R I think we can all guess what happens when Aerie gets killed in front of multiple Minscs - any remaining would go berserk and attempt to make "Minsc-meat" out of anyone in reach, keeping the ALSB busy for some time to come and giving us time to get away. Anyway, like I said, use it or discard it as you will - I just wanted to share this with someone. ------------------ Guerilla gourmet, and former proprieter of the KFA. |

Oh, one small point I noticed that might need editing - Mistral said she cast a Stoneskin spell while watching Deiter and Seph battle. Why, then does Waverider's subsequent backstab even scratch her, much less knock her for such a loop? (BTW, Mistral, bravo for allowing this to happen anyway!)

Anyway, given the incredible fire storm cast, I think that would have burnt off the 6 layers of stoneskin in a jiffy. Plus, the backstab attack knocks her off her feet and she cannot get up quickly enough... so what does is to cast the only freedom scroll she has. Oh yes, happy reading!! And the funny thing is, the events are likely to have taken no more than 1-2 days... |
