Hi
Has anyone any knowledge of any good weapons that aren't cursed in this game?
It is frustrating! I am using one for one of my characters right now. I believe it is called the 2 handed sword of doom. It is my vampire character that has it and I notice that he can't seem to bite anyone while he has it. It sucks! I mean the best sword that I do have is the mavin sword!! Are there any real good weapons that aren't cursed. I mean the only other "Best" weapon I have is the robinsword but it doesn't seem to stand up to combat well. I mean I get into about 5 battles and it is already Down to 10% damage.

Oh yes there is one thing I am curious about. One of the character guild quests I don't understand how to finish. It is the quest for proof that the leprechaun exists. Well I tried amost anything to restrain the little bugger, but that didn't work. So I figured that the only way to get proof of his existance was to croak him. I figured that having that having his staff would be proof it wasn't. So what is????

Ok enough Whining! Are there any good weapons that your characters can use?

Demiurge,
There are lots of good weapons that aren't cursed, and they get even better if you bless them for damage. The Robinsword is an excellent weapon, provided you have Forge specialist with a skill lvl better than 8, otherwise it's a serious money drain. I blessed my Robinsword up to a damage of 43 (I think) and gave it a higher toughness so that I won't have to repair it too often. For a fully blessed weapon you'd need a maxed-out Forge skill, though.
There are lots of good weapons coming, you should have Nightblades by now which can also blessed, and there's the Wizard's Blade - the absolutely best weapon in the game IMHO if you bless it up to max, the Tomonary Katana, the Sword of Hearts and a few others. Try hunting Centaurs, they're walking treasure chests, and you're going to see a lot of those.
You can get rid of cursed weapons at the Temple, but I'm sure you know that already.

Welcome to the board, Demiurge!!

There are several good weapons. I happen to like swords because there are so many of them. But your best friend will be the Cabalist trait. Having a Cabalist trait, blessing skill and the Artifact of Fiend and Artifact of Vine will really help out your weapons. There are very few weapons that natively do more damage than the Mavin Sword (it is "supposed" to be the most powerful blade, after all), but with the Artifact of Fiend, you can bless weapons up quite nicely. The best weapons are those that are high to start out with and can be blessed as well.

My favorite sword is a very rare weapon called Bloodslinger. It looks like a bastard sword, is one handed and can be blessed very nicely. I blessed it up with toughness so I wouldnt have to keep repairing it, but it still does respectable damage. I don't remember the native stats for it, but it now does 17-51 damage, special death strike, and has 85% toughness. The Sword of Argus, which can be given to you by the genie in the lamp, can be blessed up too. I have mine blessed up to do 14-47 damage, with a 95% toughness. The Tomanri Katana is another weapon that can be blessed up. Mine has 14-48 damage with a 90% toughtness.

If you are going to bless your weapons, spend your blessings on damage and toughness. Don't waste your blessing on improving the to hit factor. You can bless up silver rings and bronze cuffs for that.

As for the leprechaun, it seems that you need to find his Stone of Clover, an amulet found in his treasure, to prove that he exists. I thought that his staff that you get when you kill the leprechaun would be proof, but it is not. But don't worry, you can still find his treasure even after he is dead and complete the quest. Good luck in finding his treasure.
