OK...I know we all probably should be doing something else, right now...so I would like to see what people have given up, just to be here. A few examples are:
1. BGII or Ironworks...hmmm = (Ironworks wins)
2. Honey, mow the yard!!...hmmm = (Ironworks wins)
3. Hey baby, I bought a new nighty! Come to bed, NOW!!...hmm = (Ironworks wins)
4. Hey boy! Get back to work, or you're fired!...hmmm = (Ironworks wins)

For me, I am usually not doing my job at work, and get caught quite frequently, or at home, my wife wants me to take care of the screaming child while she finishes up dishes. ...hmmm ..(can you guess who wins?)

LOL

Well, I not sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping things down with disinfectant, changing bed clothes, doing laundry, filling bird feeders, making the local squirrels a peanut butter sandwich , feeding cats, petting cats, feeding dogs, petting dogs, playing with dogs, watering trees, gardens, and potted plants, showering, cooking, cleaning up after cooking lol, or my fav, sitting on my arse catching up on the latest scandals going on in the ABC soap opera world. I am not watching a movie on cable or the VCR, playing with tools and things in the garage, or gone to the city to shop and eat at good restaurants.

Oh yeah, and I am not sleeping.

Actually, I stop in here before my day officially starts, on occasional breaks, and at the end of what can be some very busy days!

LOL!

Right now I'm supposed to be sleeping so that I can get up at 7.30am tomorrow morning for exams (currently 1am)

Usually I'm supposed to do homework, feed the budgies, water the plants and also have dinner.

Dinner is optional and my favourite yellow budgie sit with me whilst I'm browsing
(don't worry - its tame and so pretty - eats nuts off my desktop)

Hmm...good topic, Larry!

Lessee--Sazerac's Ironworks day...

1) Get to work (Business School) around 9:15 AM I.T. (Ironworks Time). Check in at Wizards & Warriors to see if anyone needs any help.

2) Teach Networking Topology from 9:30-10:20 I.T.

3) Run back to office (across the hall) from 10:20 to 10:30 to see if anything new happened at W&W.

4) Teach 2nd half of Networking Topology from 10:30 to 11:20 I.T.

5) Run back to office from 11:20 to 11:30 to check forum again.

6) Change classrooms, go to teach MS Word. Depending on the day, may be lecture time: 11:30 to 12:20 PM I.T. If not, browse the forum in the background while working on grading exams and turned-in projects.

7) Lunch hour, 12:20 PM to 1:00 PM I.T. Wolf down lunch in 12 minutes flat and head back to classroom for more grading and forum browsing. Usually at this time will switch over to General Discussions, most of my work in W&W having been taken care of by now.

8) MS Word 2000 Lab. 1:00 to 1:50 pm I.T. Browsing forum while babysitt...er, "monitoring" student lab work, post every 10 to 15 minutes or so while jumping up to help students with such erudite tasks as setting dot leader tabs, adjusting margins, and working with borders and shading in MS Word.

9) Internet Web Design. 2:00 to 2:50 pm I.T. No browsing...intense work. Student (1) is coming along well. Cool...he's a gamer. Helping him develop a web site for his gaming forum on Everquest. Kid's got real talent.

10) 3:00 to 3:50 p.m. I.T. Advanced MS Word. Day's winding down. I'm generally helping students with their newsletter and mail merge projects, but have time to check the forums every so often.

11) 4:00 pm. I.T. Homeward bound! Generally get to see my wife for about 20 minutes as she's on her way out the door to HER job (Newspaper work, nights).

12) 4:30 p.m to 11:00 p.m. I.T. time...sporadically check the forum, depending on what's going on, how many chores/errands I have to do etc.

13) 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. I.T. time...wife is home; she and I visit, have late night dinner. She goes off to watch a movie, I go back to computer room.

14 Around 1:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. I.T. time...go to bed (1:30-2:00 in morning). Only need about 6 hours rest).

15 And YES, we have "the other." On the weekends!
