Default In Affecionate Remembrance

In Affectionate Remembrance of Australian cricket, which died at the Oval on 23rd August, 2009...the body will be cremated and the ashes taken back to their rightful place in the Lords Museum.

Now where are those chickens, they need to be counted:

Here chook, chook, chook. Look at how many there are - they've all hatched!!

Now I have to find names for them all. Let me see. I'll call that one Wellard, that one Aelia, there is Memnoch and that one looks like a Yorick. I can't think of a name for that big one over there, the one with the doleful look in its eyes. Perhaps I'll call him "The Master"!

Big D!!!!! (Walks off singing - "They're coming home they're coming, Ashes coming home!"

Well I did think the Ashes were headingly in the right direction, after all you have been so quite. But I will say congratulations the best team did not win.

That's the ironic thing, they where used much more than the poms bats!

Still it was good for the game - for the Poms to bounce back from a 5-0 drubbing last time we played.

I found myself in a position of unusual bliss on Sat night. Flicking between Australia losing the ashes on one channel, and Aussie losing the the All blacks on another.

For a Kiwi in Aussie, it dont get much better than that!

If only my damned workmates cared about anything other than AFL!!!

There will be no need for that Tim. I could have set my watch off the timing of D emerging from his box. It had all gone quiet over there for 2 months - but at last he can talk to us again.

Grats to Freddie (the one what play's cricket that is) - a fitting end to a good career. Warnie and Pidge got to end their time like that so I can't begrudge Freddie the same thing.

Oh how shall I ever be able to hold my head up in the Ole Wheatsheaf again. There is nothing an Englishman likes more than a good gloat. I shall have to delay my next visit till after the inevitable 5-0 return series.

Now on to more important matters - does Arsenal really need to buy a back-up D-mid or should Arsene play that fantastic bunch of kids a little more and get them some top flight experience?

Well done the Brittts.

There are many people asking about you in the pub Davros! The general consensus is that your lot should stick to the Women's Discus!

Is that right some Aussie Rules player has been suspended for "rough play"? Surely I misunderstood!

Did you moonwalk across the room again at the fall of each wicket? Good to see you have come out of the closet Donut. Cheers matey, and say hello to that little brother of yours for me.
