My current party is:

Mazzy
Valygar
Nalia
Imeon

I had Anomen in my party until he walked off after his father died and I never found him again. Good riddance!!!

I am VERY late in the game now, getting ready to enter Bodhi's lair for the 2nd time. This has been a surprisingly potent kick-ass party.

In the games I've played I would rotate the NPCs and play them all at some stage, picking the party for specific quests. Played and equipped properly they all can rock.

Dagoth (human fighter specced in war hammer, guess what Im trying to get at?)
Minsc
Keldorn (with carsomyr)
Jaheira
Yoshima
Aerie (with ring that add +4 to spell casting speed)

I know some people think im crazy, but...

Riham (me, lv. 14 sorcerer)

I don't realy need any NPCs right now, im stronger than a lich, can kill dragons in about 30 seconds , so you get my point, ive got all the lich's spells + more.

I am thinking that I am strong whit defeating a Mindflayer in a man at monster in 30 sec.

Ive been playing BGII with this PC since the begining, well, I had a fighter/mage for about 3 days but then I got rid of him then I made Riham, Ever since BGII came out I've played it with Riham, so he should be pretty strong, if you realy try with your PC you can get as strong as me! it wasn't easy though, if I ever did put a NPC in my party it would be Imoen, she, being a theif/mage would provide me with pickpocketing skills + disarming traps would make a perfect team, I would have to give her some magical rings like Ring of Gaxx, etc. so.. you get the point.

Oh yea, I forgot to say that my casting time is 1.5 so that helps me very, very much, PS: I love Beholders , but, alas, I am being tortured because my computer is stuck at 640x700 in 16 colors! so I can't play BGII until my sis comes down with my 3 cousins Sunday, Im im Georgia and shes in Arkansas, and Arkansas is iced over, so that pretty much sucks, woah, im way off topic, hmm, well, thats what I forgot to say

How'd you defeat a dragon in thirty seconds? That interests me... and how are you getting by solo with only two or so level eight spells in your book?
