Yup, the topic is just that... Honeymoons! Where did you go on yours? Do you know any good places to recommend and why....have your friends/parents etc gone on a honeymoon you thought sounded like a romantic getaway?

I'm researching for my own and any stories, suggestions etc would be welcome!
Ahem..remember to keep 'em PG rated here... LOL

I'm not married (only 19 ) but I know my parents went to France by car. No fancy trips to Hawaii or something like that, plain and simple. I personally don't like something uber-special as well.. I mean : if you love someone, every honeymoon is special, no matter where you go.

Went to Gatlinburg Tenn.

B&B. (Can't remember the name).

It was most fantastic. We went there a few months after being married...not immediately. Went to some sites around town later.

My 7th grade teacher went to the Greek Isles for her hony-moon, supposed to be the most romantic place in the world. So, if you have the cash, that's where I would head.

I'm not married (15 seems a little young, does it not? )but I know my parents went to Drumheller for their Honeymoon. I'm sure noone but Canadians has ever heard of the place, but it's little part in alberta that just dips down, and it's like that whole area has been eroded 100 times faster than anything around it. Really neat, actually

Went to NZ for about 2 weeks, but this was >10 years ago.
My impressions of it then:
It's a beautiful country, with an equally beautiful woman by my side. We went on a package tour covering most of the N & S Islands, including Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown (this place will forever have special memories for me, for personal reasons), Milford Sound, ...
In short, if you like spectacular scenery, friendly people, a relaxed pace of life, NZ gets my vote!

Other places we fancied (but dropped because of various reasons, like cost or time):
South Pacific (Tahiti anyone?)
Paris (synonymous with romance)
Ireland

I went to Bermuda on a cruise. Was awesome, But I was seasick for the first couple of days. I had to get a shot to knock me out till we arrived.

I highly recommend it tho.....I can't wait to go back.

Haven’t had the honeymoon yet, though we are going to Fiji for 9 nights and a cruise around the islands while we are there.
