I have so much cash from pillaging dungeons. If you had lots 'o cash, what would you buy in Kuldahar? Or would you save it for HoW? Or maybe a rainy day?

Having a dwarf in my party usually leads to spending a significant amount of my loot for certain alcoholic beverages, so I'm constantly out of cash.
Really now, the only things that I bought in Kuldahar on my first run through the game were the Bardic Horn of Valhalla from the General Store and the Sash of Shimmering from Orrick... oh, and the Helm of the Trusted Defender from the Blacksmith if you happen to have a Gnome or Halfling. Hmm, top that off with some nice spells (from Orrick as well) and you are probably already out of money. Money in RPGs usually is not a problem, and it's the same with this game. The *later* areas of Icewind Dale will earn you some major coin, so spend away! And as for 'saving money for HoW'... the question is always *when* do you plan to enter the expansion!? Well, at least if you start with HoW right before a certain boss-fight you should not have any problems with money. Hope this helps... a bit. Spend that cash. It's peanuts compared to what you clear later. I made 140 000 in one selling trip recently, from later in the game (up to the Hall of Heroes). What part of the game are you in, Cary? Severed Hand? Dragon's Eye?
One thing to remember is that Orrick's inventory changes at each chapter. With 30 000, I'd go to Orrick and see what kind of goodies he has that I want - I like the Wand of Ice, or whatever it's called. It appears in his inventory when you go to Dragon's Eye, and it gives you the option of casting three spells: Snilloc's, Icelance, and Ice Storm. Well worth picking up, as is the Wand of Magic Missiles. Aside from that, there's the three items Kaelas mentioned (a crime to pass them up if you have the characters to use them). Spells are good. If you have any money left over, treat yourself to a couple nice weapons.

The Severed Hand beckons soon, and there be some nice ammunition there. Not to mention Dorn's Deep later on.
When it comes to spending money in IWD, I spent close to 90% of my money on ammunition. |

I'm halfway through Severed Hand now so I guess we'll see. I have TONS of +1 and +2 arrows from Dragon's Eye.
