Sure you're not thinking of Kaikoura, Donut? Snow-capped mountains literally go all the way down to the waves there. Timaru is a bit of a dump really. No culture (bar white trash), and not much in the way of scenery.

I'll be heading to London (or maybe Sydney) once I graduate teachers college. Right now I'm enjoying Dunedin.
