Question Mark To car lovers, question regarding tyres.

I just replaced my tyres on my car. I just want to know if I got a decent deal or not.
Basically its Continental Brand with 205/55 R16 tyres for $135 AUD per tyre. Would that be a good brand and decent price? I did notice the difference when driving out of the shop though . However I could not find any reviews online.

I'm not sure, but it seems a little high. When I replaced my front tires a couple months ago it was 150$ total for name brand. Then just a little while ago I got new back tires, I don't remember how much they were but I know it wasn't much.

Just curious, but is that how tire (tyre) is spelled in Australia?

After searching quite abit I finally came across this website with reviews on car tires(tyre )
link:
http://www.ctyres.co.uk/tyres/continental.php
Quote:
The Continental Premium contact tyres offers excellent braking performance on wet and dry roads and is fitted as standard to many luxury cars. The Premium contact thread works likes a cat’s paw under braking and force the tyre widens and gives improved grip under braking and cornering. Continetal Premium Contact is available in speed ratings of H, H, V, W, Y, XL, FR.

Grip in Dry: 4.5 out of 5
Grip in wet: 4 out of 5
Overall performance: 4.5 out of 5
Checking with the price. Its roughly around 140aud online (and I got mine 135aud with balance/service included per tyre)

Anyway, in doing a comparison and tips, I found other retailers who recommended tires being sold for 170aud in wholesale price and round 200+ retail price.

Another Tyre Test comparison
http://www.blackcircles.com/tyres

And a website that recommend that tyre for your car ( although its limited, you can do comparisons with it)
http://www.beaurepaires.com.au/BFT_A...dTyreSearch.do

FYI to everyone

As long as you are pleased, your wallet is pleased, and the car handles like it should, you are good to go! Throw in the routine package you got, and whamo, you came out ahead.

Have you tried tirerack.com for tire reviews?
