I have been waiting for the new Feist book, Talon of the Silver Hawk for quite some time. While nosing about online yesterday, I found that it has already been released in the U.K. when we don't get it out here stateside until mid-April! Is someone trying to punish us for getting game releases first?

I was able to order a copy and have them ship it to me over here, but I won't get it until the 13th. To be honest, I was really surprised Amazon.co.uk would ship it over here.

Regardless, how is it? Are there many returning characters?

It's not here yet, but I don't think I'll get it when it arrives. I thought that half-way through Rage of a Demon King, Feist kinda lost it. Nothing was explained very well and things seemed to just 'jump' about a bit. Shards was pretty boring, too. Except Dash.

I totally agree with you guys about his later work. After Rage of a Demon King the story began to degenerate. Oh well, I have high hopes for this series.

I'll let you guys know if it's worth picking up.

I'll be watching intently as well, and I completely agree about RoaDK and the rest of the series (I loved the original riftwar saga)

I never knew anyone else felt this way. That's amazing. I feel a bit ashamed but I read the last book in the series, SoaBC, really quickly, because I didn't enjoy what had been happening in Midkemia. Maybe I didn't give it the time it deserved.

Any of you guys courageous enough to try reading the Riftwar Legacy?

Now that was some poor writing. Feist didn't even write it, but the publishers splashed his name all over the books.

Oh well, like I said, I have high hopes for this next saga.

Riftwar Legacy? Never heard of it. Unless that's another name for the horrible Krondor series? Half-way through the first book of that series, I gave up.

I've read Talon of the Silver Hawk and it's right up there with the best of his writing in my opinion. I enjoyed it a lot, in fact I had it read in two days. I just couldn't put it down.
