I have been gone nair a short time and this place has REALLY improved, I LOVE IT.

Besides restarting BGII after a few month break, plus the fact that I loved this place, the people and the info. I have to admit I have an alterior motive for pulling your ear tonight.

Our team is involved in the Folding @ Home project, Perhaps you heard it mentioned on CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2001/TECH/ptech/0...idg/index.html
More Detailed info can be found about it here: http://www.stanford.edu/group/pandegroup/Cosm/
It is a distributed computing project that simulates how proteins fold in an effort to find cures for many diseases, such as cancer.

With all team oriented Distributed commputing projects, there is a stat battle going on.
So I am here to call on the competative Adventurer in all of us.
I am part of the #9 ranked team, and the #10 team out numbers us and is closing in on our backdoor for a Hostile takeover.
We need some reinforcements.
Who better than some battle hardened adventurers to fight by our side with powerful magics, cunning and Good OLD Brute force. Healers tending our wounds and doing some damage while the Bards start Wonderous songs that will tell of our tale for centuries.
Our Current Stats: http://statsman.noxordo.com/foldingstats/213.html
And all the Opposing forces: http://statsman.noxordo.com/foldingstats/index.html

If you are interested in aiding our cause detailed sign up info is here: http://www.athlonoc.com/folding1.php
And theres a Program written to track personal stats on your machine as well as Hide the client if it bothers you. Get that here: http://homepages.waymark.net/~lperry...ownload/em.zip
Inside the zip is an IE page with instructions on how to use it and what it does.
And if you have any questions feel free to ask them here: http://www.forumoc.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=40
I have a little reward for your troubles in the form of a giveaway.
Details:http://www.forumoc.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16127
Not much but a small token to sweeten the mead.

Fellow Adventurers I Beg of you, Please do not abandon us in our time of need.
And do not tarry lest we be vittles for the wolves by the time you arrive.

Thank you for your time
Eric A Liston Sr

Oh, and here was a little story I posted a while back on The Computer site. While I am not a writer, my Adventurer Blood is plain to see. http://www.forumoc.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14042

Thanks
I was registered before, But either can't remember my user name or the account was lost (I usually always use ealiston)
Last time I was here it was Cold in Ohio and the boards were a Blue(ish) color.

I still remember a few of the names I have seen though

The sigs and Avatars here JUST ROCK!!!

Anyone think about the cause? hehe
I fear we are going down, MO has heard about our and are ralling their own troops.
And we were already beind out produced by them, we will need a miracle to keep ahead.
hehe
Or just a powerful Mage

I can't thank you enough
A little look is all I ask.
Some of the stuff looks a little "greek" until you get used to the layouts (IE stats Pages Etc) but once you get used to it it and start seeing your own numbers it gets real cool real fast.

I am competative and like a challenge so its a cool way to feed that urge, even while I am doing other stuff my computer is battling for me.
I get to come home and check out the stats.

Last time I played BGII I got about half way through and checked out the shadow editor, VERY COOL to mess with your stats there.
But after a few hrs of playing it left me feeling "Dirty" that I was cheating like that so I sorta lost interest in that perticular game.
BUT I am now ready to start all over again.

It's an awesome Game I played IWD(the origional) all the way through and BGI

I just finished my first 100 frame group. At the rate that the processing is done, I don't think we will be catching #1, but I will do my part by running the process whenever possible.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
