ok first i got a question when i went through the game the first time i couldn't find the guy for assasin role assnsion, where is he?

now the poll what character class race gender would make the best solo character and also what role assension guide should i follow?

i was thinking dwarf priest to paladin to barbarian to ranger to warlock to assasin to bard to ninga to monk to valkery and atlast to zenmaster!

and by the way what happens if you join lord cet at the end?

Raskalion you mean? You find him in the Stout mines. It´s a long and ardous way. You have to change tracks for the trolley cars a few times. Check Xignal´s site for a detailed walkthru.

I like either elves or pixies for a solo game. Elves because they gain levels faster and pixies for their dodge trait (really helpful in the beginning). Gender? Doesn´t matter, but in my case female of course . I recommend a warrior. Roam around Valeia to gain 5-6 levels then change your character into a paladin before entering the crypt. Now you´ve got some fighting skills and basic healing. If you use a warrior keep Algamesh´s necklace when doing the serpent temple and get a hold of as many cure poison potions as possible.

My 1st solo game followed this development: warrior-->paladin-->barbarian-->ranger (vine spells!)-->bard-->samurai-->ninja-->warlock (to get the last spells)-->assassin-->valkyrie-->zen master... In the second (not finished) I started with a priest.. It was a bit tougher then I think... Hope this helps some

For solo characters, it depends on what you're in the mood for. For a challenge, start with a warrior. No magic, no disarm -- at least initially, which makes things quite challenging. A solo rogue would probably be even harder, since you've no magic and no guild until you get to Ishad N'ha-ha-ha. Maybe I'll try that after Missy finishes. And yes, I'll try to update her travels tonight.

A wizard or priest, IMHO, makes for an easy solo game -- magic makes the world go around.

After the initial class, though, there's a tremendous amount of possibility available. I like to go through paladin, barbarian, and warlock first, ending up with ranger (when it's time to get fletchery), ninja and samurai. Then on to the special classes to finish up the game (although assassin might pop in a little bit earlier).

Going solo with a special character like a zenmaster is really no challenge. The only thing that can challenge you before Brimloch Roon are the salads, and after that, not much else can stand in your way.

Or do you mean Scanthril? Scanthril is the rat outside the burnt house nw of Ishad N'ha. You have to deal with him to get the assassin quest and it involves more than one quest. Many players have offed Scanthril before finding out that he was good for something.

Dude,
there are 3 guys involved in the Assassin quest:

- Scanthril
- Rascallion
- Grue Morde

Scanthril is near the Burned out House north of Ishad N'ha. Rascallion is in the Stout Mines. Grue Morde (our known Traveller from Valeia) is near Brimloch Roon (behind the Dragon Spire dungeon).

The solo character: I do recommend an elf wizard. Well, you can convert him into a demi god and make the game easy. You can also set some restrictions on your playing and make the game less easy, for example:

- no reset adventures,
- no "forerunner",
- no repeated kills of Rumphy,
- a limited amount of money generated in the inn,
- no inherited items from previous game runs.

Why a wizard? Because the wizard is the only way of gaining Stone Magic. Otherwise, you will have to wait for a Valkyrie. Be sure that EACH magic school contains some "must have" spells, including Stone Magic. Why an elf? Because his Quick Learner trait is a permanent advantage. I daresay that only a pixie has the same ability (the Dodge trait) but a pixie seems to be buggy - it seems to dodge its own spells. The pixie bug is more serious than the pixie advantage. The advantages (traits) of other character are either unessential or they become unessential during the play with a solo character.
As far as the career is considered, it depends solely on your play style. If you will play "with reset adventures" then the career is unessential at all because you can always clear your role history by reset adventures. Otherwise, you will have to plan a bit. Only one thing: forget zenmaster and valkyrie. You will be able to gain these roles at the very end of the game when your character will be level 75 or so. Switching to a zenmaster or valkyrie will be a loss for you. Even if a zenmaster and a valkyrie are strong roles, your level 75 assassin (samurai, barbarian, etc.) will be much stronger than a level 1 zenmaster.

Actually, Grue Morde is the focus of the quest you receive after you've become an assassin, so he's really not part of the quest to become an assassin.

for me, i would choose an elvish wizard coz partly for HIS quick learning, and partly because of his stone magic.
hope this helps..........
