No effect??

I'm fighting with Kangax. At 1st round, I'm causing massive damage with my ring of rams and mele fighters. Then he becomes to a flying skull and even breach and pierce magics does not work. I cant hit him. My fighter say no effect. And I can hurt him only with Melf's minute meteors (1 damage!) But before he transformed to flying skull I was causing massive damage even with melf's meteor- how can I hurt him when he becomes a flying skull kangax the demi. (spells dont effect low res great malison etc

What weapons do you have? You need +4 or better to touch this bad boy. And I recomend summons, Freedom Scrolls and Protection from magic.

Well, I beat him easily.

I'm STILL -completing all side quests- Chapter 2 that's why this battle was a little bit hard for me.

Here's what I did.

I cast spell immunity Abjuration on Nalia then get near the lich with my fighters. He will cast protection spells which cannot be removed in round 2. So you have the cause 160-180 damage in 1st round. I caused massive damage with my fighters and ranged attackers. Then he becomes to a stupid flying skull. I fleed my all characters except Nali and Aerie. Aerie cast spell immunity abjur. Then they both attack flying skull. At this point they both use the ring of rams and it causes 10-60 damage to demilich and more over he fell from the stairs!! He gets in corner, Nali attacks with Staff of Magi, Aerie attacks with string of Everard. They cause 1 damage per round so it took about 60 round While combat I go outside had a walk WHen I was home lich was knockndown!

You'll be able to hit Kangaxx with the following weapons (if you're before chapter 4):
- Flame Tongue (it's +4 against undead)
- Carsomyr +5 (only paladins can wield it)
- Staff of the Magi

Then if you're in chapter 6 (after returning from Underdark) there will be more options (feel free to correct me if I forgot something):
- Warblade +4
- Staff of Rynn +4
- A halberd +4 (it's not The Wave, it's one you can deliver acid, fire, cold,poison and elecricity damage).Unfortunately, I don't remember its name.
- Spear of Withering +4.

Say Zoltan, did you just wrote STRING of Everard. Bwahahahaha, this is great. I realise it's probable a typing error but it's a good one. Hehe, that i didn't think of that (or my cousin for that matter). Reminds me of that Eminem song "Women wave your pantyhose". Well, Aerie isn't only waving her pantyhose, is see. Lol
And Kitty, you forgot to mention Crom fayer. Only attainable in chapter 6 though.
