Okay, now I know that there are already a lot of posts regarding henchman... but I was wondering if I was the only one having trouble with controlling my henchman. I chose Linu who is an elven cleric I believe, but I've noticed that even when I can't see an enemy somehow she can and starts running after them. Not only that but sometimes I have to tell her to follow me because she's too busy attacking a gate or perhaps a boss without me. I just wanted to know if there is a patch or something out there that can improve the AI of the henchman or am I just going to have to get used to it?
Thanks for any advice-

Have'em stand ground way back and explore ahead, if you run into trouble click "follow" or "gaurd me"(I have those three commands hot-keyed). That how I manage them.

This isn't a great option for Linu, but you can tell your henchman to use ranged attacks. This way, they won't go charging off. However, they will start shooting at anything in sight, and will often pull the whole area on top of you.

Hot-key method works the best. I've tried it with great results.

don't forget to tell them not to help you out with chests (bugged me to no end when I would try and pick a lock only to find my henchman smash it when i discovered it was locked), besides except for Daelan I can smash locks faster than any of the henchmen
