Hi ZaRos!!!

Sorry to hear about your difficulties but stick with us. We should be able to find a solution. In the 3 years I have been on this board, I haven't seen a problem that we couldn't solve or work around one way or another.

Purely on a guess - is it possible that there is anything going amiss on your own computer? I do recall that we had one poster with problems that it looked like we were not going to be able to solve (horrors!) and the problem ended up being that he had a bad motherboard.

So to help us out here - run some diagnostics on your own machine and also post here a good description of your hardware - os, version of DirectX etc. Somewhere in all of that we should be able to sort out the problem and get you back to playing!

I definitely think it has something to do with your being boogred. If you are staying boogred just for the hit-points there are ways of obtaining extra such by exploiting certain bugs. If you can uninstall the patch again, that is.

Og ja, pænt træls.

Hello ZaRos! And welcome in board!

Like others allready said, basic question might be that you are Boogre...
But mean while, let's take little brake and drink one in Boogre Bar!
I'm buying you a round!

Staying boogreized does not prevent you from completing the game, trust me on that. Oh and BTW, welcome to the boards . However I think your party being boogres might have something to do with it, namely their length. You could try adding a non-boogre (preferably a short character like a pixie) to your party and select him/her as lead character in your party and then try to enter the doorways. Note that the lead character is the character selected, not the one in the top of the list.

Other than that I think you may be looking at a broken tile. If that's the case, well I'm sorry but you won't be able to complete the stout mines. You can however still get the reward for the assassination, if you ask Wyv nicely that is.

My computer is completly f..... up! e.g. the first thing i do after rebooting is to terminate the sys32.exe file (it uses all of my resources if i let it run, approximately 95-97% af the cpu).
But what makes me wonder is that i was able to reach as fare as the stout mines before i encountered any problems apart from the common bugs.
Well my harware is; a geforce 2 64mb, 1Ghz celeron, 256 mb ram (don't remember what kind).
Software; Win xp (has caused some problems so fare), direct x (where do i tjek)
No need to worry i won't quit gaming. I started the game all over again (kept my saves tho), i started a singplayer character insired by Missy Hissy' adventures... Nice writing
Ill probably start complaining again when i reach stout mines.

P.s. this time i won't stay boogrerised

Congrats! You probably have a virus. Probably a W32 worm (like Lovit). I suggest you run some scans for viruses on your computer or try an online scan, McAfee is the best.

Look here for more information. Also try a google on 'sys32.exe' since there are several viruses masquerading as that file.

I suspected a virus as well... so check it out and clean it up

As for checking your DX version, go to Start, Run and run dxdiag. That will give you the version.

As for not running into the problem before, it is likely a programming glitch, like the underwater tunnel in the Snake Temple. Somehow, it's programmed to be smaller than your characters, and they're not getting through. I like Willow's idea of adding in a Pixie temporarily, just to get through.

And thanks for your comments on my writing I try to make it enjoyable, and I'll be finishing a couple more chapters in short order. Anything specifically game-related is true and actually happened... somewhere along the way, some artistic license started creeping in

Keep us posted on how it goes...

I had the blaster worm, but it has been taken vare of. But before it went i messed my compuet completly up...
I know that i probably would be smartest to do a "format c:", but nearly everything exept from w&w, acrobat reader, and a few other things, is functioning as well as newly installed.
E.g. a game like morrowind doesn't (ehh what's the word create, don't think so but it will work i guess) create and errors.

Edited:
I were a bit late with this post...
I got directX 8.1.
