‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that GreatFather Winter would soon be there;
But He would never get to see Stormwind this night
Soon, all of the alliance will be filled with fright
For on one of his trips to deliver some cheer
I crept up behind him, my face in a sneer
Before the dwarf realized and knew that he was dead
My dagger dripping with poison was lodged in his head
With hateful glee in my eyes I completed the deed
Then turned with malevolence on to his steeds
Prancer, or dancer, it mattered not to me,
They all would die tonight, none would go free
Embracing the darkness bestowed by Lord Varimathras
I sealed Greatfather’s soul to keep him from Christmas
Locked in a trinket of great power and illusion
I took on his form to spread about despair and confusion
All the houses, one by one, each had grisly gifts to come
Not until their spirits were broken would I be done
I stole into their quarters and took what they held dear
Be it children or loved ones, they soon would know fear
With careful attention I wrapped what was theirs
Wishing I could hear them in the morning cry out in despair
A special house would bear much more than one night could give
Twas that of my household, my wretched family when I “lived”
Their transgressions against me, their own blood would be repaid in kind
I plotted this vengeance, over and over, for years in my mind
Soon they would know that there are things far worse than death
A broken shadow of a life, pain, torment and utter regret
Alive I left my parents, bound, gagged, and tied to witness this act
I can not say what I’ve done, but I told them, be wary of this fact
“Kill me once; betray me, for I’ve become stronger
Cosign me to death for not killing my brother
You may think that I am sick and brutal for this task
But look within yourselves and you’ll see who has worn the mask”
Let down my disguise of this greatfather winter so they could see my face
Their eyes in realization, bulged out, memories could not erase
Their duplicity has come full turn and you could tell,
A part of the Vicious Circle I was, bringing them a piece of hell,
And with eyelids snipped off, they were forced to endure
How my anger, my vengeance, so dark and so pure
Would scar them for life wishing they were dead
But a life in anguish is what they would have instead
And out I crept leaving stormwind in a flash
Mounted my dead horse and galloped off in a dash
I cackled and laughed as I heard the first scream
This was no nightmare, no not a scary dream
In mockery of their holiday as I rode out of sight
I screamed merry Christmas alliance and to all a goodnight
