Thanx Magik, I meant to thank you yesterday when I saw your post, it's pretty rough, but I still have hope that I'll be there for him before he dies, or at the very least be there for the funeral.

{EDIT:} thanx TL

I just saw this, Morgie. So sorry to hear. Our prayer for you and your family will continue.

TL, I closed my office today, because my employees swear they cannot get in. Hopefully, we will open at noon.

Atty, don't they teach Y'all how to drive down there?
lol 2" usually pretty much paralyzes DC too. We are expecting up to another 5-10" this week...*sigh*...Snow makes moving a real PITA, can't get a truck close to the apartment and have to walk on ice to get the boxes to the truck

Morguerat, I'm very sorry about your grandfather!
I'm glad you are back and posting- I posted that because it needed to be said...it's ok to kid around and goof off a bit, everyone does, heck I have done *gasp* stupid/inane posts, myself! But the key is not to let it become ALL that ever happens here, because the original premise was to make the Cafe an outlet for friendly patter and conversation that doesn't need a whole thread like harley's 'blog' question!

Legolas, my cats are indoor-only. Merlin has lots of toys, his sister-kitty and his people to play with. And he loves to sit in the front window and watch the shrubs move with the wind or the birds sit on them... LOL

HAHAHAHA! I have had to do this with a few of my cats over the years...some just cannot stand the temptation of people-food and end up in the plate! I lock Merlie in the bedroom if there's chicken around!

Our cat's too much of a chicken herself to take anything. Doesn't like going outside either, unless there are plenty of familliar humans around to ensure her safety.
She does join us for dinner every day, standing on her hind legs and peeking over the tabletop. So cute
That usually gets her something the 'legal' way...

LOL, I just threw our semi-house-trained cat out. Will is the only one that lets her back in. Hmm, I have been expecting Piestrider to post, but he is probably having fun outside.
