Question about Expansion

I was recently at an Apple Store and saw the expansion modules for Neverwinter nights. In a sudden crazy moment I bought both: they weren't that expensive. I then checked my computer and discovered I still had the final level for the original game stored since 2003.

I have restarted the original game to refresh my memory, but I am highly tempted this summer to just transfer my old character to one of the new modules and see what they are like.

Thus, my question, should I complete the original game again and then perhaps have two characters to play. Or should I not wait for Xmas and start one of the new modules. Of course if I am to start a new module, which would you suggest.

The first expansion, SoU, is intended for a level 1 character (and, story-wise, the game explicitly assumes this character is not the Hero of Neverwinter from the OC), so you might as well go ahead and start Shadows with a brand-new character, then import him/her into Hordes.

In fact, Hordes presumes that that is what you did...and makes all kinds of direct references to the Hero of Neverwinter, and you weren't it.

Gotcha, I wouldn't have know until too late.

You see, I really want to see how they have the Drow in the expansion module which means I would have probably started Hordes. So Shadows it is.
