I am redoing my ranger for the upcoming expansion. Does anybody have one main character they have ready for the next installment of Bhaaldom?

Can an elf get a break anywhere these days?

I am also ready to throw my Ranger in there, yet I have not yet set him up, meaning I have not decided what weapons and armor he will take with him. I am also wondering about what to take with the rest of my party. (Do they get to keep all their stuff, too)?
Each of my party members have:
Two rings of Gaxx, each
Cloak of Mirror
The best weapons for their class
Red Dragon Armor
Should I lighten the load a bit?
This is not all of what they haul, just what I remember.

Whoa ther I think thats a bit much. I think since its an expansion Larry you dont want to cheat with items. you should go through the game and just get items normally. otherwise it could spoil alot of TOB before you even get to playing it. seriously dont cheat for the addon. its not good until youve played it at least once

I've got a nice party and a solo monk ready to go NOW. Can't wait.
In the mean time I'm trying to get through with a party I've created myself, out of some of the lesser used classes.

What should I get rid of, and what is ok to keep? Can I keep my armor? You know, A red Dragon is large...large enough to make 6 suits of armor. Get my drift? I understand about the Rings and the cloaks, though. It shall be ridden, except for the original ones.

hey im not telling you what to do its just my opinion. if u want six suits of red dragon armour go ahead by all means! Im just saying from my point of view i pesonally would not keep anything i could not get by going through the game with out cheating. but thats MY point of view do wat u like
for my first TOB game I am actually going to not go into TOB with any items at all to make it a whole new experience, all new items, weapons armour. for me its more fun. but whateva makes you happy

As a general rule, I tended to export my main PC somewhere toward the end of BG2. And while I was at it, I stripped the NPC's downto their skivy's and gave it to my PC for safeguarding during export

I should have several PC's ready.

Ranger - Archer (from BG1 through BG2)
Fighter/Cleric
Swashbuckler/Figher
Fighter/Swashbuckler
Kensia/Mage
Paladin
Cleric (from BG1 through BG2)
Necromancer/Thief

[oops] forgot the evil Bard

"Then Bane, seeing the lifelessness and ruin in the middle of such beauty
smiled,
and spoke with a voice like that of carrion: "Let this place resonate with
new songs;
the cries of the warrior, the melody of clashing swords, the harmony of iron
shod
boots marching in unison over the stones, the crescendo of the death wail,
and the
chorus of the widow's lament. Let this place be a tapestry upon which I shall
paint
new scenes, and blood and ash shall be my pigments. These are the things that
I
cherish, and they shall dominate this place, as they do wherever the hearts of
men
are weak and quick to desire."

I fail to understand the point of Rangers...sorry
Fighters have more prof points
gain levels quicker and more...what do rangers do...charm animals!
unless you play it for the plot value like having a bard!
I am Elven Fighter/Mage/Thief
with boots of lightning speed and speed
staff of Magi
Mana's longbow+4
cloak of reflection
I am deadly
