No, not winged mythical creatures, but light flashes that occur during thunderstorms. In this story, a Duke University professor was able to photograph some of the elusive post-lightning flashes.
The picture is pretty cool... I hope there are more.

Interesting. That's the first i've heard of the phenomenom of sprites. It'll be good to listen to what the scientists can tell us when they no more.

Man that has to be a fast camara to get 5000 snaps a second. I may need one for my Birthday. :hehe.
