Some of you remember that I recently posted a question about upgrading the NVidia Drivers that were available in August. Well, that was a while back and I forgot to tell everyone that the upgrade to the August version of the FX drivers fixed a sound problem on my Windows boot-up! Wierd, eh?

Okay, there was a problem when Windows booted up that the sound file that was supposed to play on boot-up got silenced and broken up...and this occured before the sound file played that recognizes my new sound card, the Audigy 2. The Windows boot-up sound file stopped playing correctly the day I installed the Audigy 2. When I Upgraded the drivers for the video card, the very next boot-up played both sound files (Windows and Sound Card) flawlessly.

Word to yo momma.

Was Windows Direct X updated along with the new drivers? Direct X is usually included in video driver updates. Direct X also controls sound if I remember correctly. Anyway, it's now up to version 9.

Actually, I have had v9 ever since it came out. But maybe there was a bug in it that the new FX drivers fixed.
