A couple of losers steal a sidekick and then are dumb enough to take
pictures of themselves! A whole big story going on too....

http://www.evanwashere.com/StolenSidekick/

Hilarious and incredible. Worth a quick few-minute read, although I'll give you a language warning now. Conversations are transcribed directly, and someone's momma didn't raise them to use clean language

I haven't followed any of the links, so assume a cube warning for those, too.

Bottom line... take your fingers off it, don't you dare touch it, 'cause you know it don't belong to you.

I'll be interested to see what happens when the police show up at their door. They've got all the evidence they should need...

I'll be interested in seeing how this ends too! I can believe some people are dumb enough or brazen enough to steal and then brag about it.. but then when they KNOW they're caught, to keep it up? Not too swift! Hope they get picked up and have to give it back as well as pay the penalty of theft.

Well, there's a nice way to turn vinegar into wine. One $300 cell phone + one stupid hood rat family = GG Instant Fame.

Is it just me does it seems like he could have bought a new cellphone for the money he is spending on his site?

Not to mention that people who lose their cellphones are obviously to dumb to own them in the first place... [gasp is he serious?] no not really...

Jorath Calar: Wise words! Spending 400$ on a mobile seems like an awful waste of money.

I don't like how the internet gets used as a way to get even lately. For all i know this could be made up by the owner of the website to gain fame/badmouth others.

I have taken up a complete center mass of the fence line on this one. I have been reading his updates, but not observing all of those forums/blogs/use groups. To this point he seems focused, logical, and sequential in all that he has done. An untrained, or thug thinking person would have crossed themselves by this point of the game. Which then leads to to think like you, how trained is he, and what is he final objective? Only time will tell, but he is surely on to something.

Hmmm, i would like to say that cellphones, while useful, are a waste of money you could be doing something else with.

I opened the Int. Herald Tribune yesterday and found a rather large article about this incident. He's really getting a ton of publicity nowadays.

Apparently, it's over now. The girl's been arrested, the sidekick has been returned, and it's hitting the media.

Anyplace we can read about the arrest etc? I tried the original site from the guy who started things but didn't see any posts past his warning the thieves that he was going to the police.

Glad they recovered the sidekick, though.

Gotta tell you, after reading that and then seeing that Paris Hilton's was hacked and all her info posted ....not sure I would ever want to own one!
