Aaaaaaaah - so that's it - twas not in response to anything of mine then - then one wonders if you are perhaps being a smidgin selective as to whom you can comfortably admit an error to - hmmmmmmmmmmm - food for thought. Nice to see some "w" words above though.

My dear fellow, I don't check the world for Magik posts - only Magik responses - life is to short, and one must be selective . After all, there are golf courses out there that I have not yet played .

Locked? Why on earth would you lock a perfectly good thread? I think a host of wonderful points of view has been raised, along with some hilarious commentary.

I swear, you people...you let ridiculous SPAM threads go on and on and get annoyed when they're closed, but let one thread with some good points wander off topic a little bit and you want a lockdown. Sheesh! Maybe I should seek respite in Bellevue.

Very perceptive there. You see, if you were to check around a bit, there are a fair number of people who I have readily admitted to being in error to, the key difference between them and some others, is that they were not openly hostile, mean, nasty, or rude. A young lady pointed out to me in a lovely PM the other day that I might have gone over the top in a particular thread and upon reading her comments and reassessing, I agreed with her. Amazing that sugar may err catch more flys than vinegar.

Ahh yes, well Golf would be a far more intersting and fun way to spend your time, no doubt
Umm I was just tryin to make Mark happy by suggesting that it be locked or something. I did at first suspect he was aiming this at me, since I do seem to be the one with the posting style he railed at, but he explained that this was not true...so I just let the thread go its merry way and have enjoyed it

I must say, as serious as this topic was to begin with, I also had to laugh that there's nothing more to hash out here now than debating debating styles.

I didn't add to it because I intend to go on as I always go on, but I'll say this...no matter WHAT the debating style, if I am interested in a subject, I read it all.

Very perceptive there.
Back on topic, this is precisely the type of response that I expressed objection to on page one - most perceptive of you to have noticed that and gotten back to your old habits . There really was no other reason to split my fairly small post for a paragraph, and then add only a two liner reply at the end was there?

Interpreting as - there are really some people you hate losing to
A young lady pointed out to me in a lovely PM the other day that I might have gone over the top in a particular thread and upon reading her comments and reassessing, I agreed with her.
Yes, I have noticed that something or someone has has changed you into being more agreeable - keep up the good work

Well there was the time that 4 drunk canadians and 2 drunk US sailors tried to play a round at 2:30am.....we lost our balls, and got put in the hoosegow for the rest of the evening So I do believe you are correct about the daylight thing. Good night.
