Did I say that? nope! All existing Members will be fine. No change needed. This only applies to NEW users.
Thank gawd for that - I was having palpitations then! I'm on a network with my flatmate, and he uses all the accounts we get from his ISP (since he pays for it) - so I'm stuck with hotmail at the moment!

No, he didn't. He was a joke, as all trolls are. (at most, one or two small laughs)

I tracked the guy down on MSN and asked him why he was assaulting Ironworks...

At first I thought he was playing dumb, but now this has elevated...

In a statment by this guy to the people of ironworks:

"I would like to appologize for the actions of my friend, who used my e-mail adress to sign up with Ironworks... He likes to play forgotten realms games on there... I don't like forums myself... His actions do not reflect my own... please stop sending me e-mails and threatening MSN messages..."

He's now changing his e-mail account to something else and is hoping the onslaught his friend started stops, but there's just one problem now...

If it was his FRIEND using his e-mail account... Then that means the person wholikesgames might be an active member at ironworks, or someone who was previously banned. . .

>_> I'm not trying to start conspiracy theories i'm just supplying the information I've gained...

Toodles!
I find this 'statement' very unlikely. Show me in CODE DK, how you exactly 'tracked' this person down? I can read that information... How exactly did you find and match this user that was posting? His IP would only show him as a ISP/location, not a secondary service.

Please let me know, PM please.
Deathkiller, that's the oldest excuse in the book - the "my friend used my password and my account" excuse. I know you're only passing on what you allegedly heard, but I've heard this a million times. If his "friend" did this and as a result he's now banned, then maybe his friend has some explaining to do to him - maybe he's not a true friend, eh. And threatening MSN messages?!? Why would anyone waste the time, honestly. After we kicked his ass out, I haven't even thought about this bloke until I found this thread again.

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I enjoyed reading his posts. Quite amusing -- for at least 2 minutes. I mean, it's the kind of stuff you see all over other sites, but here it's like watching a drunk loudmouth clown come crashing into a nice cocktail party -- very amusing. Whilst I do not wish more police work upon our precious mods, I am quite happy to see such an imbecile turn up once every 18 months or so, just for shits and giggles, you know.

I agree that it is fun in some way but it destroys active threads and there is not much I dislike as much as being interrupted in speech.
That's why these people should just be plain ignored. I just feel treated extremely unfairly if I'm having a conversation with someone and all the sudden some drunk clown that steps in and yells around gets all the attention while I can't even finish a sentence I - opposing to him - HAVE thought through.
I like the nice discussion climate on IWF.
Although it's flattering to have some idiot dropping by now and then showing us how mature we really are compared to him I don't want it to happen again.
I believe that I'm a quite sensible person and need no support in that what I need is a nice place to have some sensible conversation.
*says it and heads off to Cloudy's*
