About the "console" the Phantom that Ross linked too...

It looks likely to be a fake. The guy who is incharge of it has had several scemes fail in teh past. Currently he is in debt. At a show of the Phantom 'working' he had a box with a blinking blue light as far as anyone was concerned, no demonstrations, not even of the OS. And the fact that their head office is a one room office that isn't used only adds to the reliability of it all.

Andthe fact that they have what sounds like made up technology.

(IIRC) The PS3 will be backwards compatible with both PS2 and PSone games.

I don't know about the online support between PS2 and PS3 however.

Bah. PC all the way. Damn companies only started to make games exclusively for consoles is because the piracy is less common then with PC games. And the PC users get slanted for it
Nowadays a PC is far superior to any console. Take a random console game, port it to PC and it looks 3xbetter. And don't go about the prices of a PC, because unless you're a FPS freak, you can settle for relatively cheap parts, that still produce a fine image.
