Preferably free/free trial Anyone got any ideas?

No problem, here we go.
File -> Open the mp3 Drag over the part of the song you want Edit -> Trim Switch to the Time Shift tool Drag the selection to the beginning of the track File -> Export as mp3 It's quite a fiddly method, I don't know if there's another way... haven't explored half of what the program can do. Anyway, hope it helps. |

I open the MP3
I highlight the bit I want. I dont have the option to trim... [Edit] I'm an idiot, nevermind (the track wasn't stopped, just paused) [ 06-02-2007, 12:01 PM: Message edited by: Ivelliis ]

Hmm... strange. I'm running an older version, perhaps they renamed it or something. Do you have this button on the tool panel?
If not, I guess you could copy the selection and paste it into a new project. Edit: Ok, cool. |

Isn't it strange how us internet types all use the same software? Hehe. Audacity is the perfect tool for passing very boring afternoons. A bit like photoshop, actually.

Jaradu, you should be an online tutor. That was very well diagrammed and explained. Well done.
