mmm... what pics are too large, what is considered "too large"? I resized both of mine to around 200 kB or less (from over a meg, it seemed like a decent compromise between quality and size), but sometimes it's hard for those of us with broadband to understand how long it takes for stuff to load, this thread pops up in a couple seconds on my system. Heck, I don't personally consider a picture "large" until it's over 10meg, and consider anything less than 500k or so to be quite small.

In any event, when the title of the thread is "post your picture" I would think that dial-up users would be automatically cautious .

You guys are confusing... are you talking image display size or storage size? I though you were worried about how long it was taking to download? The images I posted were some of the largest display wise, but were in the middle of the pack storage wise(200k seemes to be about average for all the pictures posted in this thread).

Does ANYONE set their screen resolution to less than 1024x768 anymore? It seems to me that 1k is not an unreasonable image size... as long as the file size is respectable.

And if it's taking too long to download, can't you just hit the stop button, or for some reason does the stop button not work on dial up accounts?

I think this is about pictures so big they make the thread roll off the page. And that IS a tad annoying. I'm not complaining though.

Ok, the warning is in the title, let's get back to posting pics and discussing the actual house pics. No need to keep belaboring the size issue, I think the point's been made.

Hey Arledrian! Do you get to use the back yard of the place your rent? I used to have an apt I rented with a friend that was similar but we didn't have the use of the porches or back yard.

Cloudy, we don't really have a backyard, unfortunately. It's just a small area to park cars, where maybe five or six will fit. That's between us and the neighbours. I remember seeing your own place up at Stealthy's, and how much I liked it. Quite the fairy-tale house.

Too bad about not having any yard to hang out in, Alex! I was thinking a bbq area might be there even if it was small... I suppose you could always bbq in the parking area! You guys are probably all too busy to worry about it, but you can always find a park for some recreation.

LOL, well, my place is kind of small to be a fairytale house.. those are usually castles! Boy we could use a little more space, too. But I can't complain, at least we have a house!
