What was the dumbest thing you ever did while playing Wizards & Warriors?
For me, it would have to be trying to ride the carts in the Stout Mines without knowing how to drive them; I didn't know you had to click on them first. I would just jump on to the cart and pull the lever, then watch in dismay as the cart shot out from under me and flew down the shaft with me running after it! Also, there was my persistent chasing after Erathsmedor across the Gael Serran yelling "Elseramavin!" at the top of my lungs! So, what have you done while playing this game that makes you grin and squirm with embarrassment? Chances are, you weren't the first--so share the mirth! Getting myself killed is proably the dumbest
No seriously, hmm, I think that must've been an incident with the mantraps... I teleported them far away to get rid of them for the moment. 10secs later IŽd forgotten all about them and used the portal myself. To quote my party:"Aaahhh", "runaway", "IŽll killŽem aaaaaarrrghh" etc etc

well, the dummest thing i've ever done was 2 lead the mantraps all the way back to the gates of Ishad'na. therefor everytime i came out through tt gate, IMMEDIATELY u would hear a lot of ringing sounds, followed by heckalotta "ouch" "ooh" "oww" "gasp" and so on.........
maybe i'll do something stupid again some OTHER times..........

LiOnHe@rT,
Look at my post on page 1 of the boogre bar. It might bring back memories. The dumbest thing that I have done is cast a portal in Collasium & not being able to teleport back to it. The guys on this forum tried to help me figure out why but the reason was that I didn't use the charactor that cast the portal to try to telepport back to it.

Have you heard of the unit of time called an ohnosecond?
It's the name for how long it takes from the moment you fire your quickspell at the beastie who just appeared scant feet in front of you until you realize that you had your quickspell set to firestorm, and that you are now in the middle of that firestorm. Goes like this: Me nicks and stones! *quickcast* *realizing firestorm was active, as firy balls start falling from the heavens* Oh, noooooooooooooooooooooo! Yep, I did that out in the Lost Sea area. That's when I found out that all the protection from fire stuff I'd been enchanting really worked. ** Edited to bring the rest of the post to light ** [ 08-26-2002, 01:16 PM: Message edited by: Bungleau ]

Hey Bungleau,
You say you did it by accident but I use it as a strategy. If you have good protection from fire casting firestorm in your area has no effect on you. Just walk into your enemy & blast away, it works really well on things like raptors & worgurs. |

Well, yeah, Kev, now I can use it like a strategy. The first time it happened, though, the word "strategy" was far from my mind. "Tragedy" was a whole lot closer....
I don't worry about worgurs and other little punks. One sword hit or so, and they're all done for (at least at later levels).

obivously, besides looking all around the crypts for how to open the door. The dumbest thing i did was, when i was first played, i babyed MY character and had my other party members fend for themselves. so while he had nice armor, weapons, and stats, the rest of the party was too weak for brimloch roon. SO take heed upon my warning, evenly distribute the weapons, armor, money, and stats ( i mean ankh's ).

Hmmm... the dumbest thing I ever did was probably trying to go crazy on the Mantraps when I first saw them. See, I figured that if I overwhelmed them with melee attacks I'd beat them. Needless to say, I was wrong... very wrong.
