I'm so glad I'm finally in college. Finally I don't have to deal with nonsense like that.

Much.

Wait wait wait.......they acctually had police come and search everyones stuff for rubber bands and paper wads? I used to do that at my old school and all I got for it was a warning....but then again we never put pins or paper clips in our paper wads, which I can understand that being a big deal I wouldn't want a needle being shot into me.

I hope this isn't going to spiral into another 'elastic band ' control debate.

Well getting the cops involved seems a little over kill. I am thinking they should have more important things to do then search a bunch of kids. And getting kicked out of school is a little much as well. I think something like standing in a wasp firing range would be more fun. Ok kids take your shot and get him back.

Getting the police involved was stupid and pretty silly. They said the rubber band was a weapon. What's that make the pencils we use then? And the forks in the cafeteria? And pretty much everything else in our school? Just plain stupid. We've done plenty worse. They threatened to expell us for it! Which is pretty overkill. I was about to take the blame just to get it over with.. but if I got expelled... I wouldn't have passed the 7th grade.

What's so dangerous about rubber band and paper wads anyway? Here students bring it to school and nothing happen. heck students even play rubber band games in school right infront of teachers.
