I am dimly reminded of the younger sister of a good friend of mine... poor Becky has quite a monstrous underbite, to the extent that it is damaging her teeth and making it damn near impossible for her to eat. She's having surgery to fix the problem these days, nasty surgery involving resetting bones and screws in your jaw. *shudder*

Anyway, she's always suffered taunts about this at school, so far as I gather, but the first I learned of it was when I, my friend and his sister walked past a boy and girl on a date outside the cinema (a whole bunch of people I know had just been to see Spiderman). The girl evidently knew Becky, as when she passed us, she stuck out her chin until her lower teeth covered her upper teeth, in a mockery of Becky's own face. As I and my friend wondered what to do - if anything - Becky proved she was capable of handling it by calling back with surprising venom:

"Ah, the school take-out. Cheap, easy - quick!"

The NEW look on their faces was... good to see. We three walked away, happier for the exchange.

My God, do people not put any effort into insulting each other anymore?
Well done Kaltia When namecalling happened to me I usually was to riled to say anything but then spent the next few hours wishing I'd have come up with a reply as good and quick as this.

Is it only me or would other people immediately bring out the Fisticuffs to? No harm in a little brawl if they're up for it

Aww, Thanks, Mack! I appreciate your sweet err..buttering up? LOL But no, sadly, I don't have any of my own and I really like young folk. (PS: yours is a doll in that sig!) Many of my friends do though, and I've worked with lots of kids in church (Sunday school and youth group) and I work at a University (secretary) so I see young folk alot!
