Hey Art

In my last game i had a priest-elf, to th end of the game with incredible spellpower (i havenīt killed Oak or Era). Most defensive spells, but veeeery useful.

WaeponFighting with priest ? Hm...canīt say something about that, my priest was not able to hit anything, but sometimes he really stoned someone with the deathstaff of the lich

Hope this helps.

Priests are a must IMO. A always have two in my party. They are VERY allround. They get vine spells from the start (cure poison) and spirit as well. Spirit spells can then be further enhanced if promoting the priest to a monk. A medium level monk is very useful indeedy, especially if you send your priest through barabrian before becoming a monk. Then you get loads of hitpoints, fast attacks and a very good spell caster. Donīt leave home without one.

Note: Can everyone see Artaniusīs sig now?

Edit: A priest can use staffs and maces.

Iīll get on it right away. Edit: Seems itīs down at the moment for me. Iīll try and fix it when it is up and running again.

I prefer either a pixie or an elf. The pixie has the dodge trait which make it a very difficult target for enemies. On the other hand the elf gains experience faster. How about one of both? Try increasing Spirituality some. Since I prefer my priests to advance to monks I try to raise will and agility some too. Check the manual for the skills you need to raise to a certain level.

But an elf can carry more than a pixie - and Taski really hates pixies

Actually, any race can carry the same amount at the same strength level. There's no penalty for being overburdened with weight, which would make a difference. Of course, the mental image of a pixie carrying ten sets of plate armor is rather humorous... might make some lesser creatures die laughing (or at least lose something on their save rolls).

I prefer an Oomphaz priest. Gotta love the mana seed trait, and I've never had a problem with finding armor. Only problem is wriggling through tight spaces... but the pixie can lead then

And please, guys -- one sig per thread. Too many graphics and all... have some consideration for the folks in other parts of the world where the internet connections are slower (or they have to pay by the minute).

I had an Oomphaz priest in my 1st game & hated it. It is difficult to find great armour for an oomphaz & you have to keep it in mind when travelling through tight spaces.
I would prefer an elf because it learns faster so will get that spirit & vine level 7 magic quicker.
Willowix, Artanius's sig looks pretty cool.
Taski, if Willowix cant get you sig up & running there are a couple of threads on General discussion where you can choose a ready made sig. I think deathbringer has a good selection.
