some stout mine questions

I just encountered Raskallion and
refused to help him. He attacked
and I killed him. Unfortunately, I've
never received any quest involving
Raskallion and I've occasionally seen
his name on this message board (something
to do with the assassin quest I guess).
So now, I'm wondering if I've screwed up
and made it impossible for me to receive
and/or complete the assassin quest.

After killing Raskallion, I went back up
to the throne room and tried to steal
the vault key from the king. I failed,
now the king is dead too. Now I've seen
this question asked here already, but I
couldn't find an answer so, does anyone
know yet if killing the stout king has
any adverse effect on the rest of the game?

The King gives you the Dragon Armor to get past the "Bronze dragon" in the mountain. Not sure if you get the armor if you kill him some say you can find it but I have not seen it unless the king makes it from the ore.

I have the dragon armor so I guess that's
not a problem. I think I found it in the
king's private chamber's. Unless someone
here suggests otherwise, I think I'll just
keep playing as is. I was really finding the
stout mines annoying anyway.
