I agree with LB and T-D-C on this. I think Half-life two is like the appetizer before the main course. Halo 2 will roxxorz your soxxorz!

Isn't Halo 2 is being written so that Consoles can run it?

If so then it'll be too limited to compete graphically with HL2 (my only real complaint with consoles... cool games, crappy graphics... well... maybe not 'crappy', but certainly dated, I retired my Geforce 3 goin on a year ago). Of course the gameplay in Halo was solid (FAR better than Doom3 in that department) so I'm sure it'll be fun, but unless HL2 seriously drops the ball gameplay wise I doubt there's any competition there.

You never know what will happen with the PC version. I've heard that they were developed seperatly (same story line, same engine) but each version will be made for the console or the PC.

Heh, the funny thing is, the xbox has never had a game that has taxed it's full abilities. Not even PS2 has, and from what I hear Halo 2 comes damn near close, so the graphics won't be as bad as you think.

Unfortunantly yes, so it will eventually come out on PC, but it will be like the original port, good but a huge system hog.
Microsoft announced quite a while ago, that their Xbox gaming department and their PC gaming department would merge, and im pretty sure that happened, so sorry T-D-C, but unless they re-design the entire game, it is going to look just like the original.
The screen shots arnt "that" impressive either, sure I want this game and it will be cool to hijack vehicles and hold two different weapons, but with the same graphics and similar story....Who knows???

I seriously doubt halo will be anything close to what halflife is. I mean just comparing the trailors is a big contrast, halo looks great, fun, and pretty damn good.
But halflife is something revoloutionary, it looks spectacular, incredibly fun, and amazingly interavtive, it just looks like it will be THE GAME.
The best yet, and just amazing, sure it won't be everyone's favourite, but you can't not admit it's a good game.

Uhhh, what trailors have you been watching???
Im pretty sure I have seen most of them, and although the games looks amazing, the only thin you can do in it that you cant in other games is use the "manipulator" to pick up objects, sure the cars fly around when they are hit, but that can be put into any game.
Dont get me wrong, I know that this will be a great game, but I think peoples expectations are a little high.

When did you play it naysayer.

Your opinion is just as informed as ours!

Of course I won't be converting to the Church of Half-life 2 until I myself play the game, but I believe it is going to be something truly grand. Take's all the FPS cliches and flushes them down the toilet apparently, just like the first one did.

The first one is only stale today because of all the copies that took "inspiration" from it. When in doubt, trust Edge.

So repent, and your soul may still experience life-changing gaming (by that I mean you will spend more time playing a particular game )
