Is there anyway to escape the fate of getting ur whole stash stolen at the start of HOTU?

I know that the chest that disappears is just a figurehead...the story just automatically empties ur equipment on ur chr...but is there anyway to prevent the game from doing this?

~drow camp before recueing halaster (spelling?) mage there is a chest with all your previous stuff in it.

To modify the game files go into your nwm folder. Find the XP2 chapter 1 ( I think) file there. Copy this to your modules folder and change the extension to .mod. Now open it in the toolset and you can modify it.

If you put it back like that, you'll probably get some trouble when you need to update your game. So it's better to play the game as intended.
