This thread contains and asks for SPOILERS.

Hi!

I'm stuck at the bottom of the Luremaster's dungeon. I have the five gems, I know that they have to be put around the big star-portal thing, and I've got a note which seems to tell me SOMETHING about where to put the gems. However, every time I try to put a (flawed) gem into one of the corners of the pentagram, the gem is rejected (or moved outside the container -- I think that means rejected) and my party has to fight a small horde of big demons.

Questions: Do I have to fight the demons even if I put the gems in in the right order?

Does a "successful" gem placement cause the gem to be moved outside its corner-floor-container box?

Obviously I've missed something... please please someone give me a clue about how to place the flawed gems!

Thanks, -- Nifft

Gee, if the "flawed" gems are being rejected, maybe a "flawless" gem would work?

You have to put the "flawed gems" into the chest in the northwest corner (it's away from all the stone nuisances). that will cause a "flawless" gem to be generated at the altars where you got the flawed gem. Then you can put the flawless gems into the pentagram.

Micah,

Thank you very much. I'd totally missed that.

Now I'm trudging through the Isle of the Dead...
