I got a new computer it is a pentium 4 at 1.4ghz with 128 mg of ram and a geforce 2 video card. It plays baldurs gate 2 (with full installation) fine for the first 5 to 15 minutes but after that it gets terrible laggy, much laggier than when i play it on my old pentium 2 at 233 mgz (with minimal installation. Does anyone know what i can do to solve this problem, cause it is getting very annoying having to restart the computer every 5 minutes or so.
Help me plz, thanks ps. i am playing with 3d acceleration off pss. somewhere in the control panel you can choose hardware acceleration and i turned that to none also |

What operating system are you running??. Enable hardware acceleration and 3D and let windows manage your vrtual memory..Also because it's a big game (1Gig) defrag your hard drive before running the game. This should solve the problem. Any chance that the system you bought were a DELL DIMENSION 8100???
