Re: So, I dropped my cell phone in the toilet.
Hairdryer.
I haven't dunked my phone, but one of my friends has. She disassembled it and left it on the radiator to dry off over night. I think it worked.

If you have a heavy duty phone, stick it in the Dryer
That's worked well for me in the past, when I accidently wash my phone as well as my laundry. |

Nope; in fact, they seem even more sensitive than normal phones.
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=368474 This was a couple weeks ago: pretty in-depth analysis of wetting & how the "water sensor" works -- you'd think Apple could spend their freakin' creativity on something less gay "But I don't know what happened; it just stopped working!" Not anymore ... |

I've heard of more rediculous studies. One organization recently secured a government grant to test the idea that smoking at a young age does infact have an impact on your lungs/cancer risk etc. when you're older.
I'm thinking, duh?
