Is there a way to tell whether it's going to be day or night when I exit the Village of Valeia? I seem to be stuck in Night mode. Just how long in Realtime gameplay do I have to wait until dawn. Night sucks unless your a Vampire ..heh heh. Is there a way to tell passage of time as in the old Wiz games 6 7 and even Wiz 8. You would have thought Bradley would have a clock icon somewhere. Also I notice there is a Real time toggle key but how do I get into D3D mode?

There is no game clock and no way to tell when inside a village other than the fact that time does not run inside a village, so it will be the same time of day when you exit as when you came.

Day and night in the lands of the Gael Serran has been the subject of many a forum debate. in this topic you can see how fast time runs there.

Personally, I like the nights in Gael Serran. It didn't bother me that there was no way to "control" the time of day as in some other games.
There are only a couple of areas in the game where it may make a difference the most notable being west of Ishad N'ha.
Other than that, I'd just cast the best light spell I had available and enjoy the additional creepiness of the night!

On a related subject - I really liked the fact that it isn't necessary to sleep in this game!

I think the bell ringing outside the town gate is a signal that 1 hour have passed on.

There is no way of telling when day or night will strike,
but if you don't know the Gael Serran too well it might
be a good idea to stay close to home in the dark to prevent
getting lost.
