One of the worlds' few great men in my opinion once spoke this incredibly motivational piece. I find it deeply inspiring and always seem to come back to it when feeling out of sorts or blue. I hope you find it similarly uplifting, regardless of your spiritual persuasion the message is the same: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you NOT to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel unsure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. As we let our own Light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." -- Nelson Mandela. Beautiful! Truly beautiful. *sigh* It's things like these that make this thread a real treat - even more of a treat than my large mug of tea right now.

In my family, we have a saying: "He who hesitates, goes hungry." We did have a good sized family (six kids).

here is new one...
when you go up so high in life... dont forget to look down.. because if you dont.. youll fall down like a clown... =) it means that even though you become so high in life.. never forget the basic and the most simplest things that can give you joy. Never ever forget to look down to earth because if you dont watch you step youll just fall down into a manhole... here is a funny story that makes this quote all so true... i went to the states... Newyork to watch a broadway show... (Jesus Christ Super Star) ... anyway... i was watching the first scene wherein Judas Iscariot (one of the main actors) was singing all by himself... he was so good and looking up so high into the audience... then all of a sudden ... as if i blinked... he disappeared... then i heard a thump and a clang... then i noticed he fell down into the orchestra pit... looks like he didnt watch his step... (hehe)... then he tried to get back onstage (boy did he look funny doing that)... and the show continued on... (with clappin of course from the audience) |

Call me as you wish, Chao Kang-rikard-kael !!
About mages, I like this one: "If you feel that your ass is burning, then you annoyed the mage" or "The lightning in the mage´s eyes precedes the lightning in your ass" Sorry but i like so much the idea of mages freezing and burning asses while they´re enraged !!! |

A serious one?
Well don´t act like someone you want to be, act like who you are or you will become what you are not and you will be no more. Funny? depends.. A sucking chestwound is natures way of telling you to slowdown.. |
