Help - Sacred word for Erathmedor

Whats wrong? I give the Shroud of Elsera to Erathmedor and he asks for the sacred word to complete the ritual. I talk to him with my character who is wearing (also tried carrying) the Signet ring of the Chosen one, I type in ELSERAMAVIN, just like it says in my journal notes from D'Sotos's ghosts (dead knights journal entry) but nothing happens. The dragon rambles on about the famous sword but doesn't recognize the sacred word.

Does anyone know what I need to do here?

I don't know if this will help but I used the sacred word first, then the dragon asked for the shroud, that's when i got really close to the dragon and gave the shroud.

I read in another thread that you need to select the sacred word from the predefined options on the left, and typing doesn't work.
Since these questions seem to be popping up only after the release of the patch, and I also only had trouble the second time around (with patch), I wonder if it is a bug introduced by the patch. Anyone?

No. It was always was, and probably ever will be so. Seems a totally pointless check to me, because you get the shroud when you get the word. If the word was the only event, then making you select from the list prevents people from short-cutting Halaebus (ie it wouldn't be on your list if D'Soto hadn't said it). I can see that logic, but not when you get both the word and the shroud together.

Thanks for the help - the solution is to select word from list, don't type it in.
