Hmmm ye be dissin' the cats? Now I really dont apriciate people doing that... First off, Cats make a great home animal, that does not require lot of care, the main advantage is that you do not need to walk it every day three times a day... The second very good thing about a Cat is that its a stress eater. If you cannot fall asleep put a cat on your belly and I gurantee it will calm you down and knock you out for good. And of course Cats are good if you have mice in your house... self explanetory. So if you think about it, cats are great!

Slackerboy, after thunking all day on this issue I recongnize the true geinus of your statement. In fact I'm thunking about starting a drive for you to receive the Nobel prize for Ecology. Cats as a subsitute for toilet paper sheer geinus. Cats are a faster renewable resourse then trees. Cutting down of trees to wipe our rear-ends will be a thing of the past. Cats will not clog-up our sewer systems, like toilet paper. Best of all they are self-cleaning!!!!!!!!!

My dad brought home two little kittens last sunday. Sure there fun to watch and all, but what purpous do they serve?

Protection? Not litley

Compaionship? There not that great of companions, I mean they just come to you when they want somthing to eat.
------------------

It takes time. If you don't feel you can give these kittens a good loving life, PLEASE give them to someone that does. Cats are EXCELLENT companions. and become very close to you. bonded for life if you let them.

Entertainment? Just about any dog with a lick of intelligence is much more entertaining.
-------------------

Cats are VERY funny.. They play all the time..

Then there is the cutness fator. Well, Any small dog is just as cute.
-----------------

Yeh, but cat's actually SMELL nice. they clean themselves. VERY self sufficient. they don't eat their own feces either .
