"Pakistani forces have killed 24 suspected militants in a fierce gunbattle in the lawless region bordering Afghanistan, as U.S. forces prepare for a spring offensive against al Qaeda and Taliban fighters from the Afghan side."

Um, they were in a gun battle dude. I think "suspected" is said just to be politacally correct in the report. I am pretty sure they knew who they were shootin at, ya know?

Yes i did read the article, it made it sound like pakistani forces had a battle with some people therefore automaticaly they are the enemy.

still, other than the fact the general feeling seems to be of xenaphobia, i spect i woulnt have said it had i had more than 4 hours fairly disturbed sleep last night. i have a nasty cold /flu. sorry Wackmeister

Aditionaly, i still dont understand how *anyones* deaths are good. sure they may have been terrorists, but they are still people too.
