Just want to say thank you to you both for meeting me at the airport of Friday, and steering me in the right direction at the station. It was cool to meet you, sorry it was ultimately so brief.

Thanks Again

Simon

Simon! No problem at all, it was nice meeting you
Sorry we were both feeling a bit dull from having a cold though...
Anyway I'm glad we could help, so tell us how your trip was!

(BTW Seb says Hi too, writing this on his behalf as well )

I was in Nijmegen/Arnhem/Oosterbek over the weekend (I seem to spent my time flitting between them) Not sure if I was near you or not. If not I may have zoomed by on a train

Melusine / Seb:

Thanks again, and no probs about the cold I was a little bit hyped up, the flight made me a little edgy, always am when I fly for the first time in a while. The trip was great I loved my time there, so expect me back before too long Next time I think the plan is to go to Amsterdam (we almost did this on Sunday but we were up late and the trains to Arnhem were being replaced by buses so we took a rain check, for the time being. I did get to see the Airborne Museum, and the Bridge at Arnhem from the top of the church tower. We also hit the funfair in order to win a cuddly toy for my hostess (it was Piglet from Winne the Pooh if you'rre interested )

Rikard:

I did get there until about 10pm so I guess we would have missed one another even if you hadn't been tied up with school stuff, but there is always next time

Awww.. Too bad, I live in the East of Holland (near Roosendaal and Bergen op Zoom for the Dutchies among us) so it's pretty far away. Hope you liked it anyway, Sir Tainly!! And cold.. well, that's Holland!!

Sounds like you had a great time! (Piglet?? I love Piglet!!!! )
Too bad you couldn't visit Amsterdam, it's a great city, I was in the centre on Saturday myself. How was the Museum? I've never been there myself...
So glad you had a good - if short - trip

well I saw signs for trains to Roosendaal, if thats any consolation Cold??? must have ordered special weather for me then, it was like summer, I was roasting, it was 5 degrees colder in Cambridge.

Melusine:

Yeah the museum was good, and although I knew the history, it was good to see the actual sites and some of the historical equipment that was used, helps put some of the text book stuff into perspective
