1) how do I link area's to each other?

Using either doors, or the waypoint/trigger combination. In the case of doors, go to properties, set the tag of the door (Area1toArea2 or what like you), and, on the Area Transition tab, select the destination.
For the waypoint/trigger one, set the tag of the waypoint to something like Area2toArea1, and on the trigger's Area Transition tab, select the destination. Put the waypoint right next to or on the trigger.
Selecting the destination means ticking either Door or Waypoint, and in the bar above that, pasting the tag of your destination.
So to go from area 1 to area 2 like above, tag as above, and on the door destination tick Waypoint, type Area2toArea1. On the trigger's Transition tab, tick Door, in the bar type Area1toArea2. They now link to one another.

2) how do I change the voices that NPC's have?
On the creature's properties tab, under Advanced.

3) how do I make an NPC that will join your party?
Tutorials may be useful here as it does take some effort to really get right.

4) & 5)
That's the scripting, yes. You'll need to learn that or find someone else who already has in order to bring your module to life.

The best advice really is "Try everything". And you can make this work better by "Looing at what others did and stealing that".

4) how do I make an NPC give you exp when completeing a quest

5) how do I MAKE a quest?!
The first 3 have been answered, I think I know 4 and 5.

4) When making conversation there are tabs at the right side of the window: Text appears when... Actions Taken Other Actions Comments and a few more you have to scroll to see. Click actions taken and click the little wizard hat. You have to be clicked on the point in the conversation which you want the event to happen.
5) The only quests I've managed to 'create' are the "that goblin stole my book" quests. Do it together with Actions in a conversation and when text appears and it can be pretty good Not sure about journals though.

And I also want to learn about how to make henchmen
