I have just signed up for it, but I am having various problems...well, one actually.

Why can't I log in? I enter my username and password, but they say "page cannot be found". (In their own window...so not a white webpage with the "try refresh button" thing.) Also, could anyone talk me through on how to set it up to host images that I can link to? I would really appreciate it.

Tripod sucks. Go to freewebs instead. Easy layout for creating your own site, and you don't get the crap of advertisements on your site as well.

Lol, thanks! It is far simpler, but...how do I link an image from there? Do I add it to the site and link it from there? (I mean an image for my sig for example).

Thanks for the suggestion Link. I need a new host site since my old one now costs money.

I'm building one now.

Using Lycos Tripod - Sig Hosting

1: Click on this address ---> http://www.tripod.lycos.co.uk/
2: Sign up.
3: On the main page, enter your details where it says Sign In.
4: Then click on Site Building Tools.
5: Click on the first option, WebBuilder.
6: You will then be presented with a step-by-step guide on creating the basic layout for your site.
7: After that, it's pretty self explanatory. To add a picture click on the small green plus sign at the top of the screen. You will then be greeted with a pop-up of different elements to add. Click on Image, browse for you pic on your comp, click OK and bingo - the pic will appear on your site.

tripod = php, mysql, 50 mb space, unlimited bandwidth and a few ads (annoying ones can be taken away except the one at the side but at least it's static) that beats freewebs imo.
