As you level up your dracon, does the breath get stronger or is it always the same. And is it really worth using the breath ability.

I just hit some Bilstering Scorchers on Ascension Peak for about 20 HP each with a level 25 Dracon Fighter. IIRC this is better than the start of the game, but even so it is not very useful late in the game.

I belive it depends on the amount of stamina you have at the time you breath. So A Dracon who has maxed stamina and breaths at the start of combat will do the most damage possible with this trate. Not sure if stamina boosting items grant more damage, but in any event the max damage isnt that hot, its basicly nice to wipe out lower level mobs that swarm and have low hps.

To use the dracon breathe, when your in combat, just press b or click on the sword, bow ect. and find the breath icon.

I think that the breathe does get stronger at the end of the game, I still find it useful against hordes of bugs though.

Dracon breath can get extremely helpful if your dracon is a fighter or a rogue using cursed weapon(s). They can use it to compensate for the loss of their ranged weapon. My dracon rogue is using 2 thieves daggers, and with his breath there's no hurry to get in melee range. Very useful in this particular situation. But I wouldn't choose a dracon for an hybrid class, they're better using their magic instead.

By the way, I LOVE my dracon rogue. He's only 4 kills behind my lizard fighter.

Yep. Stamina is key. I remember my valks doing more damage than everyone else. Once I was wedged in a corner facing about a dozen scorchers. After getting spells up, I had everyone except the bard and bishop breathing on the scorchers. We were able to out-breathe the scorchers (talk about halitosis)! The damage difference was very noticeable between high and low current stamina.

I didn't really test, but if you're not a Dracon, the power of your breath might also be tied to the duration left on your breath enchantment. Could be bad memory on my part, but I seemed to notice slightly less damage near the spell's end even with full stamina.

Ok, so in theory it would get stronger as you level up cuz generally your stamina increases.

The regular scorchers hit you hard for one round. They get lazy after that. The blistering and higher scorchers do more damage...
